This is one of my favourite fountains in Paris for several reasons.
The fact that it has 3 names is not one of them: Fontaine du Chatelet; Fontaine du Palmier; and Fontaine de la Victoire.
What I do love though, is that this fountain is very heavily influeced by France's history with Egypt - it's a combination of Sphinx's, and typocal Napoleonic representations of Victory, Vigilance, Justice, Strength and Prudence.
On a sunny afternoon, this is a great place to chill out - there are loads of trees and benches to watch the world go by from.
